WHO WE ARE
LDAC is a diverse CIC organization co-led by people with Learning Disabilities (PWLD)that is driven to achieve visible and lasting change for the Learning disability community in Croydon through active collaboration with PWLD, their careers, service provider, statutory bodies and the local communities.

We advocate for the improvement of services for PWLD in Croydon so as to achieve visible and lasting change for the Learning disability community in Croydon especially in the areas of leadership, changing attitudes, expression of gift and talents, employment and financial growth through active collaboration with PWLD themselves, their carers, service provider, statutory bodies and the local communities

Empowerment
Empower PWLD to lead and co-lead in the matters that concern them.
Support
Support PWLD productively contribute to their community through expression of their talents, volunteering activities, gainful employment by liaising with employers / statutory and voluntary organisations to increase the number of PWLD employed in Croydon
Opportunies
Promote opportunities for people with a learning disability (PWLD) to be heard by service providers through our events and training days.
Awareness
Working with various community services and the general community of Croydon to promote awareness and change attitudes towards people with a learning disability
Advocacy
Advocate for equal opportunity, person specific services and outcomes.
Inclusivity
Making Croydon more inclusive by reaching out those marginalised and those from BAME community who are less likely to access services in the community.

Our Services
Collaboration: actively working together with stakeholders to promote visible and lasting change.
We deliver awareness, education, informative and consultation events through out the year which are co-led by PWLD and in collaboration with statutory and voluntary service providers
Quarterly networking events for organisations and people of the community
We offer a weekly coffee morning every Tuesday were resident with a learning disability as well other members of the community can convene and discuss matters that matter to them with invited guests / trainers.
We run peer to peer groups for school parents with a lived experience or those with a learning disability once a month
Annual Learning Disability Carnival
Health workshops in conjunction with the NHS Ld community team.
We seek positive collaboration between services and service users by continuously reaching out to different community groups such as the religious groups and other grass root organisations and inviting them to network and share what they are doing in the community.
